What is psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a process of self discovery and self growth. It can provide a wonderful opportunity for deep healing and significant self realization, which lead to self respect, self acceptance and self love. Your PEACE of MIND is the mission of my practice. To whom do you provide services?
I provide individual and couple/family therapy for adults (ages 21 and up) who would like to improve quality of their lives and/or resolve interpersonal difficulties.
Do you provide FREE OF CHARGE consultations?
Yes, I offer FREE 20 minutes personal consultation for people without insurance and for those who choose not to use their insurance for different reasons. It gives my clients the great opportunity to match their needs and preferences with my professional and personal skills and therapeutic approach without making financial commitment.
Do you provide Skype or phone consultations?
Yes, I provide Skype and phone consultation. However, it's preferable to see you personally at least the very first session to have impression of each other and establish personal connection, which is fundamental in our work together.
What can I expect from the initial sessions?
During the consultation period, we will clarify what it is that has brought you to therapy and what you feel are your central issues and goals. We will also discuss concrete issues such as scheduling, fees, and whether or not you need additional referrals or services. Sessions are usually 45 minutes.
What are your fees?
My fees are in line with other private practice clinicians in the area of service. I do offer sessions on a sliding scale basis. If you are worried you cannot afford therapy please contact me anyway and we will see if we can make arrangements.
Do not forget to use my offer of FREE of charge 20 minutes consultation to discuss any options of your treatment I can offer to you.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Fees are paid at each session by cash or check. In some situations I accept credit cards.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
At least 24-hour notification is required to reschedule or cancel appointments. Without this notification, you will be expected to pay for the session in full. I will always do my best to reschedule a make-up session at a mutually convenient time.
Do you take insurance?
I am considered an out-of-network provider for most plans. Please call your insurance to clarify if my name is in Many of my patients are able to receive reimbursement from their health insurance companies.
Are the therapy sessions confidential?
The confidentiality of all communications between a client and a psychotherapist is protected by law. Aside from certain specific situations, a psychotherapist cannot tell anyone what you have discussed in therapy or even that you are in therapy without a client's permission. In most situations, the psychotherapist can only release information about a client's treatment to others if the client signs a written authorization form. We can discuss this at greater length during your initial consultation if you have specific questions or concerns.
